Shanghai Sets up Anti-malfeasance-and-tort Bureau
2006-12-7 16:41:17      China News Service

Shanghai has upgraded the anti-malfeasance-and-tort office in its People's Prosecution Service into anti-malfeasance-and-tort bureau to combat corruption (as malfeasance and tort cases usually have very much to do with graft and bribe ) with anti-graft bureau.

The founding of the anti-malfeasance-and-tort bureau will help to excercise a tougher supervision over judicature and law enforcement to improve social justice, its major responsibility being to deal with the malfeasance cases that deeply harm the people's interest, and those who harm the socialist market economy, like the criminals involved in commercial bribes and those involved with local mafias.

Public tip-offs will be welcomed, and rewards will be given to those who offer genuine information.
