Paramount Pictures Names Chief Operating Officer

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Paramount Pictures named media executive Frederick Huntsberry chief operating officer on Monday.

Huntsberry, who will report to Paramount Chief Executive Officer Brad Grey, will be responsible for worldwide strategic planning and operations for the studio including finance, human resources, lot operations, and the office of the general counsel, the studio said in a statement.

Huntsberry comes to Paramount from General Electric Co., where he has served in several senior positions, including at Universal Pictures and NBC Universal.

Paramount Pictures is a unit of Viacom Inc..
