British police arrested supermodel Naomi Campbell in London on Wednesday, police and a media report said.
Police arrested a 36-year-old woman at an address in the Westminster area of London and held her for questioning, a Metropolitan Police spokesman said.
He declined to give her name because no charges had been filed, but the comments were made in response to questions about a report on Sky News television channel that the 36-year-old Campbell had been arrested.
The arrest came after a woman went to the police claiming she had been attacked at the residence, the spokesman said.
"Officers attended the address. A women aged 36 was arrested at approximately 1:20 p.m. (1220 GMT) for an alleged assault and taken to a central London police station," he told Reuters.
